Commercial Sales and Estimating / Construction

Detroit-Based construction firm looking for a Commercial Estimator to bid / negotiate / close and potentially assist in the management of commercial and multi-family construction and renovation projects throughout South Eastern Michigan and Northwestern Ohio. A positive attitude is as important to this position as specific experience, but a trade estimating background would be highly beneficial to your success in this position. We are looking for an individual capable of independently obtaining new work.

Successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to:

• act as a company representative to both potential and existing clients
• establish / maintain relationships with competitive vendors
• prepare accurate estimates and proposals from conceptual and / or final plans
• meet bid and proposal deadlines
• follow up with clients on submitted proposals and close deals
• negotiate subcontracts and set up projects
• manage preconstruction activities

This individual will initially work with and report directly to the President
