Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial vehicles and diesel-powered equipment. The ideal candidate should have experience with heavy-duty trucks and a strong understanding of diesel engines and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in commercial vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, brake checks, engine repairs, and exhaust system work.
- Inspect and test vehicle systems to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts used.
- Ensure vehicles are in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with a focus on commercial vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, drivetrains, suspension systems, and other key vehicle components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and computer-based diagnostic systems.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and safety standards.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
- ASE Certification or equivalent is a plus.
