Compression Molding Machine Operator (Will Train)

Guitar Electronics Manufacturer in DTLA seeking a Molding Press Operator

Ideal candidate is quick and strong and detail oriented. The molds are heavy and hot (300F), and they must be loaded quickly by hand with delicate electronic components. It’s hot, sweaty work, and the rascally cat has peed somewhere back there so it’s a tiny bit catty too…

We are happy to train the right person, the molding presses are hand operated so you have to be comfortable working a hand jack. And you must be ok working with phenolic molding compound (Bakelite). If you have sensitive skin it can make you itchy, and full body protective gear can be too hot to wear for some people.

An individual with Soldering skills would be excellent, because soldering is the other thing you’ll probably be doing.

20 hours per week, flexible schedule, shop is open 7 days a week. More hours available if you’re good at the other jobs around the shop.

We are a small shop of weirdos, musicians and artists. An ideal candidate would also enjoy freaky shit and foul language and be totally cool with giant nude paintings on the walls.
