Concrete Carpenter

Key Responsibilities

Build, set, align, and strip concrete forms for foundations, walls, footings, slabs, and structural concrete.
Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Measure, cut, and assemble lumber, plywood, and prefabricated forming systems.
Install embeds, anchor bolts, expansion joints, and reinforcing materials as required.
Assist with concrete placement, finishing, and curing operations.
Verify formwork dimensions, elevations, and layout requirements.
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with project supervisors, laborers, equipment operators, and other trades.
Maintain a clean and safe job site in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Perform form stripping, material handling, and site cleanup activities.
Complete work accurately while meeting project schedules and quality standards.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a Concrete Carpenter or Form Carpenter preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
Experience with gang forms, Symons forms, EFCO forms, or similar forming systems preferred.
Knowledge of concrete placement procedures and formwork best practices.
Strong understanding of construction safety standards.
Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic construction math.
Reliable transportation to project sites throughout Maine.
OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required.
