Description

Concrete contractor looking to expand its team. Seeking skilled Concrete Carpenters and Foreman. Journeyman-level trade workers only; work experience must be verifiable. Full-time prevailing wage work throughout Willamette Valley with overtime work anticipated. BOLI/Federal wages per trade with fringes paid out as cash. Concrete Carpenter Duties:

*Place structural formwork per project drawings and form design. Gang form experience desired.
*Placement and finishing of concrete per scope. Includes structural footings, slabs on grade and walls. Finishing to be performed with hand tools, pole tools, and occasionally finishing equipment.
*Use of vibratory equipment for consolidation.
*Application of cure per specifications.
*General daily cleanup/tool maintenance.
*Installation of reinforcement (on some projects).
*Adherence to jobsite safety requirements (site safety rules, OSHA, daily use of PPE, etc).

Foreman Duties:

*Coordinate crew and activities. Drive work as communicated by the site Superintendent so that daily/weekly goals are met.
*Read drawings and understand project specifications so that daily work is compliant with the contract documents.
*Conduct quality checks including but not limited to formwork, grade, finish, etc.
*Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to construction activities
*Collaborate with superintendent, project managers and team members to coordinate materials/tools/equipment needed for daily/upcoming phases of work.
*This is a working foreman position; willingness to work alongside crew is required.
*Above-scale pay negotiated DOE.

Requirements for All Positions:

*All workers must pass drug/alcohol screening (including marijuana use). Random jobsite screenings should be anticipated. Clean screenings are a condition of employment.
*Attendance of jobsite orientation/trainings
*Valid ID/Driver's license
*Employees must have reliable means of transportation to work each day.
*Availability for typical work week M-F 7-3:30, with some Saturdays/OT per project schedule/critical path.
*Willingness to work jobsites within greater Portland-Metro Area and Willamette Valley.
*All applicants must be physically able to perform the various tasks associated with concrete construction trades while maintaining safety standards.
