Concrete Finisher

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Concrete Finisher to join our wet utilities construction team. The Concrete Finisher will perform concrete placement, forming, grading, leveling, and finishing work associated with water, sewer, storm drain, and other underground utility projects.

Responsibilities:

Perform concrete finishing work for water, sewer, storm drain, and other wet utility projects.
Prepare areas for concrete placement, including grading, forming, and subgrade preparation.
Place, spread, screed, float, and finish concrete to specified grades and elevations.
Finish concrete around manholes, vaults, utility structures, catch basins, inlets, curb and gutter, sidewalks, slabs, and other utility-related structures.
Install and finish concrete collars, pads, aprons, trench restorations, and utility structure transitions.
Operate hand tools and power equipment including screeds, bull floats, trowels, and power trowels.
Perform saw cutting, tooling, patching, and joint finishing as required.
Ensure finished concrete meets project plans, specifications, grades, slopes, and elevations.
Maintain clean and safe work areas and properly care for tools and equipment.
Follow project safety requirements, company policies, OSHA standards, and traffic-control requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman or Superintendent.

Qualifications:

Previous concrete finishing experience required; wet utilities or underground construction experience preferred.
Knowledge of concrete placement and finishing techniques.
Experience working around water, sewer, storm drain, and underground utility installations preferred.
Ability to read and understand basic construction plans, elevations, grades, and specifications.
Ability to operate concrete-finishing tools and equipment.
Ability to work safely around heavy equipment, excavation areas, trenches, and active utility crews.
Reliable attendance and transportation.

Preferred Experience:
3+ years of concrete finishing experience.
