Construction Company - Safety Coordinator

Horizontal Boring LLC is currently hiring a Safety Coordinator to help support & maintain a strong safety culture across our construction operations.
We are looking for a dependable, organized individual who is comfortable working in both field & office environments, conducting jobsite inspections, communicating with employees & management, and helping ensure safety policies & procedures are followed.
Job Duties

• Conduct jobsite safety inspections & document findings
• Assist with safety meetings, toolbox talks & employee training
• Identify unsafe conditions, work practices & potential hazards
• Work with Foremen, Superintendents & management to address safety concerns
• Assist with accident, incident & near-miss investigations
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports & required documentation
• Track employee training & certifications
• Assist with new-hire safety orientations
• Monitor PPE use & compliance with company, OSHA & jobsite safety requirements
• Travel to active jobsites as needed
• Help promote a proactive safety culture throughout the company

Qualifications

• Construction safety experience preferred
• Underground utility or heavy civil experience is a plus
• Knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards preferred
• OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 certification is a plus
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
• Strong communication & organizational skills
• Ability to recognize jobsite hazards & address concerns professionally
• Basic computer skills & ability to complete safety documentation
• Must be dependable, detail-oriented & able to work independently
• Valid driver’s license required

Pay & Benefits

• $23.00–$27.00 per hour, depending on experience & qualifications
