CONSTRUCTION DRIVER / FIELD SUPPORT
$24–$30 PER HOUR | FULL TIME
We are a growing custom outdoor living contractor specializing in decks, patio covers, pavilions, outdoor kitchens, and complete backyard projects.
We are looking for a reliable CONSTRUCTION DRIVER / FIELD SUPPORT person to handle material pickups and deliveries and assist our construction crews when needed.
IMPORTANT: THIS IS NOT A DRIVING-ONLY POSITION.
When you're not making deliveries or handling materials, you must be willing to jump in and help our crews on the jobsite.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Pick up and deliver lumber, building materials, tools, and equipment
- Drive company trucks and tow trailers as needed
- Properly load, strap, and secure materials and equipment
- Check orders before leaving suppliers
- Inspect and select GOOD material — you need to recognize and reject warped, damaged, defective, or poor-quality lumber and materials
- Deliver and stage materials at our jobsites
- Keep trucks and trailers clean and organized
- Perform basic vehicle and trailer inspections
- Communicate with project managers and field crews regarding deliveries and material issues
- Assist crews with loading/unloading, cleanup, material handling, and general construction work when needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Valid California driver's license
- Good driving record
- Experience driving trucks and towing trailers preferred
- Knowledge of safely securing loads
- Construction or building-material experience preferred
- Able and willing to perform physical construction work
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Good communication skills
PUNCTUALITY & RELIABILITY ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT
Our crews depend on materials and equipment arriving when they're supposed to.
We need someone who consistently shows up ON TIME, READY TO WORK, and can be counted on.
Commercial driving experience or additional driver's license classifications are a plus.
PAY
$24–$30 PER HOUR
Starting pay will depend on driving experience, construction knowledge, qualifications, and overall experience.
