Location: Midtown West, Manhattan
Employment: Full-Time
Salary: $75,000–$90,000 per year

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Construction Foreman to join our team and help lead NYC commercial and high-rise construction projects.
The right candidate will be a well-rounded construction professional who understands structural work, can read plans, organize workers and materials, and teach crews how to perform their work correctly and safely. We are looking for a dependable leader who takes pride in quality construction and wants to grow with our company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, shop and site-safety drawings.
- Direct daily fieldwork and clearly explain assignments to workers.
- Teach workers proper construction methods and safe work practices.
- Confirm work is completed according to approved plans, specifications and field conditions.
- Inspect workmanship and correct unsafe or improperly installed work.
- Prepare material lists, takeoffs, purchase orders and delivery requests.
- Track tools, equipment, materials and job-site inventory.
- Coordinate workers, subcontractors, deliveries and inspections.
- Maintain daily reports, photographs and open-item lists.
- Respond calmly and responsibly to emergencies and unexpected field conditions.
- Minimum eight years of hands-on construction experience involving structural elements.
- NYC commercial or high-rise construction experience.
- Structural steel beams, columns, connections, base plates, anchors and tension-control bolts.
- Structural welding and the ability to recognize defective welds and improper connections.
- Cast-in-place concrete, formwork, shoring, reshoring, reinforcement and concrete placement.
- Familiarity with Type IB, IIA, IIB and IIIA construction.
- Exterior cladding, waterproofing, roofing, terraces and balconies.
- General knowledge of carpentry, masonry, concrete, steel and miscellaneous construction work.
- Experience with forklifts, small cranes, lifting equipment, power tools and welding equipment.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
- NYC SST Supervisor Card preferred.
- A qualified applicant without an SST Supervisor Card must be willing to obtain it promptly.
- Knowledge of fall protection, scaffolds, ladders, rigging, hot work and emergency procedures.
- A responsible and highly organized working foreman.
- A strong leader who can teach, guide and motivate workers.
- Someone who can solve field problems and communicate clearly.
- Someone who values safety, quality workmanship and teamwork.
- Someone capable of managing several activities without losing control of the work.
Monday through Friday
7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required.
