Construction / Installer - Bird Systems - Unique Job

Unique job with unique requirements: Urban Bird Services is the largest, most experienced bird & bat abatement firm in the southern U.S. We are looking to train a new installer to install various systems that keep birds and bats out of structures including netting, spikes, LV Track, etc. This is a full-time, permanent position with guaranteed hours, benefits, take-home vehicle, etc. Need to hire ASAP, no bird experience needed, will train.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or legally allowed to work in the U.S., AND have a current valid driver's license, SSN, and no history of name changes. Must have no felony convictions and any misdemeanor convictions must be disclosed prior to interview. We must perform a thorough background check before hiring so please be honest and up front. Must be able to pass a drug test, but after-hours 420 is OK.

Other Requirements: You will be working safely at heights of up to 60-80' with power tools usually on a boom lift. If you have not worked at heights, or if you cannot accept these conditions please do not apply. Must have work experience at some type of minor construction, or electrician, plumbing, or carpentry (working with tools, heights, and problem solving). We will supply all tools and safety gear. Must be reliable, self-motivated, and be prepared to work safely but efficiently with an emphasis on details. You must be and stay in good physical and mental health.

Hours are usually between 7 and 5, M-F. Travel throughout Texas is semi-common, but most services are in the DFW area. When traveling, you will be home every weekend and hotel is provided, and per diem is paid as well as company vehicle. Estimate: Travel usually 2 to 4 days every other week or so, sometimes more / sometimes less.

We prefer you be experienced in operating an aerial boom lift with an aerial lift Certification Card, but we will train. OSHA 10 or 30 also preferred. These are not mandatory as we will train if need be.
Pay is $18 - $20. per hour depending on work history. At 90 days you will be reviewed and eligible for a pay increase as well as all full-time benefits.
