Construction Laborer / Apprentice — Grow Into a Career in Construction Management

Connacht Group is a Chicago-based general contractor specializing in hospitality construction. We're looking for a motivated, dependable Construction Laborer who wants more than just a paycheck — we want someone who's early in their career and hungry to build real skills and grow with us for the long haul.

This isn't a dead-end gig. We're offering a clear path from the field to leadership. The right person will start hands-on, master key trades, and over time grow into a Field Operations Manager, Foreman, or Superintendent role within the next 5–10 years.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assisting with finish carpentry, painting, drywall, and rough framing across commercial hospitality projects (hotels, restaurants, event spaces, etc.)
• Supporting skilled tradespeople on active job sites throughout the Chicago area
• Learning to read plans, manage materials, and coordinate daily site tasks
• Taking on more responsibility as your skills and knowledge grow

What We're Looking For

• Construction experience required — you should have a working background in at least one of the following: finish carpentry, painting, drywall, or rough framing
• Someone early in their career who is eager to develop additional trade skills and grow into construction management
• A strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude
• Solid understanding of job site safety practices and expectations
• Ability to perform the physical demands of commercial construction work
• Must have your own reliable transportation to get to job sites across the Chicago area
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Prior experience in additional trades is a plus — but a strong foundation in at least one is required
