Construction Laborer / Entry-Level Carpenter

Our on-site shed building company is hiring a dependable construction laborer / entry-level carpenter to join our small crew building custom on-site sheds throughout Hampton Roads.

Our shop is located in the Chuckatuck area of Suffolk and crew members typically report there 1–2 mornings per week for loading and material prep before heading to job sites. Applicants should be comfortable with that commute.

Typical Duties

• Material handling and loading/unloading trailers
• Framing floors, walls, and roof systems
• Carrying lumber, sheet goods, and shingles
• Assisting with siding, trim, roofing, and general carpentry
• Jobsite setup and cleanup

Requirements

• Reliable transportation
• Construction or carpentry experience required
• Solid work history and references
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

We're looking for someone with more than basic labor experience—someone who already has jobsite awareness, can safely use common construction tools, and wants to continue developing their carpentry skills.

Pay: $18-$23, based on experience.
