Construction Project Engineer
Description
Successful, established commercial electrical contractor seeks an experienced Construction Project Engineer to assist with a myriad of construction office tasks. We specialize in new construction, tenant improvements and service/maintenance work on an array of project types, for a number of prominent clients. Our office is in Pleasanton, but our work is throughout the Bay Area.
Chosen candidate will perform a variety of tasks, including the following duties:
. Provide support to project management team in all phases of a construction project including estimating / bidding, construction, and project close-out.
. Download electrical plans and specifications, and assist with estimating.
. Request material quotes and evaluate quotes received.
. Maintain document control between field and office.
. Assist with phone calls and correspondence.
. Assist business operations management and personnel with special projects as needed.
. Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems a must
- 4+ years recent project engineer or project coordinator experience
- Electrical construction project experience a bonus!
. Be able to interface with all aspects of our business, and possess excellent customer service attitude, integrity, timeliness, organizational skills, and be a proficient communicator.
. Be motivated, dependable, able to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines. Ability work both autonomously and as part of a team, manage/prioritize workload and follow through responsibly in a fun and casual environment.
. Possess proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Outlook and Excel, and be willing and able to learn Accubid construction software.
. Be able to drive and have own transportation.
