Description
Important: We are hiring one person for a combined role—not filling several separate positions. The person hired will perform the full range of project management, estimating, superintendent/field supervision, and architectural/design-coordination responsibilities.
A fast-growing General Contractor in South San Francisco is seeking one highly experienced construction professional for a broad, hands-on leadership position. This is a single role combining project management, estimating, field supervision, and architectural/design coordination. The successful candidate must be prepared to manage these responsibilities from the start through project completion.
The ideal candidate has at least 7 years supervisor experience, broad knowledge across all phases of construction, and the ability to work directly with project owners, public agencies, inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Participation including reviewing plans, specifications, contract documents, and addenda.
Develop project schedules in logical steps, establish deadlines, and monitor progress from start through completion.
Coordinate with supervisory personnel, engineers, inspectors, contractors, and agency representatives to resolve work procedures, complaints, installation issues, and other project concerns.
Manage project costs, revenues, timelines, job costing, and margins.
Prepare estimates, takeoffs, budgets, scopes, and bid packages.
Build and maintain professional relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and public-agency representatives.
Provide architectural and design coordination, including reviewing plans for constructability, code compliance, field conditions, and conflicts.
Perform routine field visits and other duties required to carry projects from through closeout.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 7 years of relevant construction experience.
Demonstrated experience in project management, estimating, superintendent/field supervision, and architectural/design coordination.
Experience pulling permits with Public Agencies, reading and understanding contract documents and specifications.
Familiarity with San Francisco codes, permit requirements and inspections.
Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
Computer proficiency, including experience with job-cost, estimating, design changes, T & M tracking, estimating, and scheduling software.
Strong organization, communication, follow-through, and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under deadlines, and work independently when needed.

Pay $80,000–$150,000 per year, based on experience and the final scope of the position
