CONSTRUCTION PURCHASING & RECEIVING – FULL TIME

Monday -Friday 7am-4pm (In Person)

We are looking for an experienced person to handle purchasing and receiving for a construction company.
Must have at least 2 years of construction experience. We are looking for someone who understands how construction works and is willing to learn materials across all trades. The position requires attention to safety, detail, accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

JOB DUTIES:

Purchasing construction materials and supplies
Creating and managing purchase orders (POs)
Preparing, submitting, and tracking material submittals
Tracking material orders from purchase through delivery
Communicating with vendors and suppliers
Checking deliveries and receiving materials
Keeping track of inventory
Organizing materials in the warehouse/jobsite
Following up on backorders and delayed materials
Making sure materials arrive when needed for the project
Utilizing QuickBooks, Bluebeam, and Autodesk
Learning construction materials and products for all trades
Working with project managers, superintendents, and field crews
Keeping purchasing and receiving records organized

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 2 years construction experience
Experience with purchasing, receiving, or material coordination
Good organizational and follow-up skills
Able to keep track of multiple orders at the same time
Comfortable communicating with vendors and construction crews
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook/Email, and Teams, with the ability to use these programs for daily communication, tracking, documentation, and organization.
Must be dependable, organized, and willing to learn

This is a hands-on position for someone who can stay organized, follow through on orders, and understand the importance of having the right materials on the job at the right time.
