Construction Superintendent – Immediate Opening

Redux C+D, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team and currently have an open position for a Construction Superintendent.

About Redux Construction:

Redux C+D, Inc. is a B-class General Contracting firm specializing in structural and architectural concrete, drainage, rough framing and ADU construction, soft-story, and moment frame and other seismic work since 2014. We primarily work in the East Bay area, from El Cerrito to Castro Valley, and Oakland to San Ramon, though occasionally travel further for larger projects.

Job Brief:

The Construction Superintendent works directly beneath the President of the company and requires excellent communication and time management skills and is responsible for project foresight and planning for multiple jobs at a time.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise up to 3 projects and 8 employees at a time, with bags-on assistance to field staff
• Coordinate with engineers and subcontractors
• Schedule in house field labor
• Set performance goals and deadlines through implementation of efficient construction processes
• Monitor and report project progress
• Schedule and attend field inspections
• Plan for and order appropriate materials and equipment
• Ensure job sites and worker techniques are safe and orderly

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of journeyman level construction experience
• Ability to read plans and specifications
• Familiarity with MS Office
• Ability to self-manage and independently problem solve
• Experience handling building inspections, RFI’s, special testing and communicating with other AHJs
• History of effectively managing other employees
• Professional appearance and demeanor towards both clients and co-workers
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish speaker preferred
• Clean DMV driving record
• Ability to pass criminal background check and random drug testing
