CONTROL VALVE TECHNICIAN-Industrial Valve Repair

Overview

Industrial Valve Services Firm on Mare Island in Vallejo is hiring immediately.

We are seeking a skilled controls/actuator technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing various types of motor operators as well as performing troubleshooting and repairs on control valves in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance and inspection on electric, pneumatic,, mechanical and hydraulic actuators.
Repair, modify, or replace defective components as required.
Install new actuators according to manufacturer's specifications.
Troubleshoot control valve issues utilizing various electronic devices
Interpret schematics, P&ID's, and maintenance manuals, in the course of troubleshooting.
Collaborate with customers to provide excellent service to address there concerns.

Requirements

Proficiency in industrial maintenance practices
Prior experience in an industrial electrician or similar role is a plus.
Knowledge of electrical systems related to valve operations; both low and high voltage is essential.
Experience in field service in valve maintenance is a plus
Ability to work with DCS.
Strong customer service skills for effective client interaction.

Regular work hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm, both scheduled and unscheduled overtime are required. Position includes some out of town travel and willingness to travel to customer sites.
