Convention Center Event Labor

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Convention Service Event Laborer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the setup, breakdown, and maintenance of event spaces at the convention center at Empire Plaza, working under the supervision of the team leader. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure that each event runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the fast-paced environment of live events. The ideal candidate is physically fit (ability to lift 50lbs required), eager to learn, follow directions and a team player.

Duties:

Assist with the loading and unloading event materials on-site

Set up and break down event spaces by arranging tables, chairs, skirting, and other event materials as directed by Convention Staff
Ensure all materials are handled safely
Moving equipment and supplies to their designated event location within the Convention center office and event locations
Assist with cleaning, maintaining, and organizing material inventory during event breakdown

Experience:

Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards preferred
Experience working in Live Events preferred, but not required.
Previous experience following verbal instructions on-site.
Previous experience reading a groundplan is preferred, but not required.
