Experienced Stitchers

Part-Time & Full-Time

Help alter, repair, construct, and finish theatrical costumes.

Qualifications
10+ years of professional sewing experience preferred
Strong garment alteration and repair skills
Experience with industrial sewing machines
Experience with 4- and 5-thread sergers preferred
Excellent hand-sewing and finishing techniques
Ability to work with a variety of fabrics and costume styles
Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: $18–$20/hour, based on experience.

Alterations Shop Manager

Lead our alterations department while remaining an active, hands-on stitcher. This position oversees workflow, fittings, repairs, finishing, and staff while helping maintain Broadway Costumes' high standards of quality and service.

Qualifications
15+ years of professional sewing and alterations experience preferred
Previous supervisory or shop management experience
Advanced fitting, alteration, garment construction, and repair skills
Experience with industrial sewing machines, sergers, and zig-zag machines
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
Responsibilities
Perform advanced costume alterations and repairs
Supervise daily workflow and department priorities
Train and mentor sewing staff
Coordinate with ownership and other departments
Ensure costumes are production-ready for rental or performance
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area
Assist with lifting costume racks and baskets (up to 50 lbs.) and other physical production tasks
What We're Looking For

This is a working manager position. The ideal candidate leads by example through exceptional sewing, productivity, communication, and teamwork while helping the department meet production goals and maintain Broadway Costumes' reputation for quality.

Pay: $23–$26/hour, based on experience and leadership ability.

Scheduling

Our business is seasonal, with peak workloads during the spring theatre season and Halloween. Hours are based on production needs and increase significantly during busy periods.

Both part-time and full-time positions are available.
