Crew Lead Tree Climber Needed: $40-$50 per hour with benefits

Company Description:

Joshua Tree Experts is a franchised tree care company with territories covering Northern Virginia, Bethesda/Potomac, and Washington DC. We are looking for an experienced crew lead climber to run our crew. You will be expected to climb most days as needed, though not every job is a climbing job. We have a significant backlog of work that will keep you busy throughout the year. The current operations yard is in Bethesda, MD. You will be expected to meet first at the facility to pick up equipment for the day and return at the end of the day. We are looking at options in the Merrifield, VA area as well if that is a better location for you.

Job Qualifications:

At least 2 years leading a tree crew and delegating ground operations with a STRONG SAFETY CULTURE (helmets, chaps for cutting, eye protection, ear protection)
Familiarity with equipment and daily maintenance requirements
Ability to operate equipment, including chippers, stump grinders, and skid steers
Hands-on experience in tree climbing, rigging, pruning, removals, and general tree care operations
Strong knowledge of tree biology and proper pruning techniques
ISA Certified Arborist credential preferred but not required
Maryland Licensed Tree Expert credential preferred but not required
Strong focus on customer service and just generally being a good person to work with
Reliable, on-time, productive, and able to work in various weather conditions
MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

Wages and Benefits:

Starting hourly wage will be $40-$50 depending on experience
