DEMOLITION TECHNICIAN

Select Deconstruction & Demolition is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team as Demolition Technicians. We are seeking team members who take pride in their work, show up ready to work, and want an opportunity to grow with a growing demolition company.

Position Summary

The Demolition Technician performs hands-on demolition work on residential and commercial projects. This position works as part of a demolition crew under the direction of a Project Supervisor or Superintendent.

This is a labor-intensive, field-based position that requires working outdoors, lifting heavy materials, using hand and power tools, loading debris, and maintaining a clean and safe jobsite.

Responsibilities

Perform residential and commercial demolition

Complete interior demolition, selective demolition, and full structure tear-down work

Use hand and power tools including sledgehammers, saws, pry bars, drills, and other demolition equipment

Remove, sort, load, and dispose of demolition debris

Assist with loading dump trailers and trucks

Maintain clean and organized jobsites

Assist equipment operators and supervisors as directed

Protect areas of structures that are designated to remain

Follow company safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times

Perform daily cleanup and properly store tools and equipment

Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or jobsite concerns immediately

Work cooperatively with other crew members to complete projects safely and efficiently

Qualifications

Demolition, construction, concrete, excavation, or general labor experience preferred

Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the workday

Ability to lift and carry approximately 50–75 lbs.

Comfortable working outdoors in Texas weather conditions

Ability to safely use hand and power tools

Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities

Must take safety seriously and maintain a professional attitude on the jobsite

Work Environment

This position involves working on active demolition and construction sites and may include exposure to dust, noise, heat, cold, uneven terrain, and heavy equipment. Employees are required to follow all company safety policies and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
