DIESEL MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTOR NEEDED!

HDS Truck Driving Institute is a respected, ACCSC accredited CDL training school with 35 years of experience preparing students for successful trucking careers.

HDS Truck Driving Institute is now offering a combination CDL & Diesel Maintenance course. We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to teach the entry level skills needed to work in a maintenance shop- Wheel seals, tire changes, brakes, turbos, & alternators.

Responsibilities:

-Course Instruction: guide, instruct and supervise student’s practical skills
-Grade workbooks and oversee lesson plans
-Log daily activities for training plan accuracy
-Develop partnerships with Swift, local repair shops and funding agencies
-Assist With Mechanic Duties in Shop
-Schedule and oversee student use of training equipment
-Work with Site Manager to schedule future classes
-Ensure students are adhering to student policies and procedures
-Coordinate w/ Job Placement Department to increase student job placement

Requirements:

-3 to 5 years of Diesel Technician experience
-Class A CDL preferred
-Great communication skills
-Proficient in technology (computers, diagnostics equipment)
-High school diploma/GED
-Teaching experience is a plus!
