K-3BMI is hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic for our Brookshire fleet maintenance shop. We're looking for a skilled mechanic with strong diagnostic and repair experience who can work independently on commercial trucks, trailers, and equipment. Heavy-duty dealership experience is preferred and will be strongly considered when determining starting pay. Our Brookshire shop is professional, well-equipped, and climate-controlled with A/C — because that matters in Texas. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Diagnose and repair diesel and gas engine systems
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and cooling systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and fleet inspections
• Diagnose and repair brakes, wheel ends, tires and related components
• Perform trailer and equipment repairs
• Identify mechanical and safety issues before equipment returns to service
• Accurately document repairs and maintenance performed
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
• Participate in an on-call rotation as needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum 3 years of diesel mechanic experience required
• Heavy-duty dealership experience preferred
• Commercial truck or fleet maintenance experience strongly preferred
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and determine appropriate repairs
• Must own a complete set of mechanic tools
• Valid driver's license required
• DOT Brake Certification preferred
• Tire and wheel-end experience a plus
• Farm or heavy-equipment maintenance experience a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically active work
• Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation
