Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics, with experience in servicing tractor-trailers and heavy equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines, ensuring that all vehicles are safe and operational.

Responsibilities

· Perform full maintenance on all cars, trucks and construction equipment

· Track all repairs and keep details with part #'s and vendors used for specific equipment.

· Must have in shop at all times: (all mechanics tools to perform daily repairs)

· Must be available to go to site to perform various tasks

· Knowledge and ability to operate various construction equipment

· Inspect equipment before use or put back into service

· Knowledgeable in Hydraulic repairs

· Knowledgeable and can diagnose malfunctions in engines, hydraulic system, electrical, read error codes and repair as needed

· Able to work weekend, off peak hours as needed, (on occasion)

· Has knowledge with JPRO Diagnostic computer, read codes, clear code

· Pricing out parts and supplies and ordering them.

· Must go out on road and do repairs to down equipment.

· Must have a valid driver’s license, CDL A preferred

Qualifications

-Proven experience in diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics is essential.
-Familiarity with servicing tractor-trailers and heavy equipment is preferred.
-Proficient in the use of power tools and diagnostic equipment.
-Strong understanding of tire service procedures, including installation and maintenance.
-Knowledge of air brake systems and suspension components is a plus.
-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
-Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
