Diesel Mechanic

Columbus based trucking company is lloking to add another mechanic to our staff.

Requirements:

Repairs, maintains, and services semi-trucks, trailers.

Diagnoses equipment problems and suggests the needed repairs

Performs safety and maintenance checks including Federal Annual Department of Transportation (DOT) Inspections

Performs all preventative maintenance to equipment per manufacturer and DOT specifications

Certifications & Experience

Experienced with Volvos, Freightliner, Peterbilt and International trucks

Ability to work at a fast pace and still maintain complete repairs

Ability to work alone for most of the shift and be self-motivated

Diagnose electrical, engine, transmission, abs, brakes, and a/c systems.

Repair injector, brakes, kingpins, alternators, starters, a/c compressor, batteries, etc.

Repairs such as clutches, transmission work, electrical, sensors, and pumps

Troubleshoots various systems including electrical, drive train, HVAC, engine, and suspension, identifies needed repairs and performs corrective actions

Complete bumper to bumper Diesel Engine repairs

Maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards
