Diesel Mechanic

At MDI Rock, we are seeking one senior level and one entry level Diesel mechanic

MDI Rock prides itself on its ability to be a full-service shop and being able to handle just about any repair, in-house, to its commercial fleet of Class 8 trucks and supporting equipment in the quarry and aggregate supply industry.

About The Position:
-Conduct comprehensive maintenance across various levels to extend the lifespan of trucks and heavy equipment.
-Perform daily repairs and maintenance tasks, including oil changes, battery checks, and equipment lubrication.
-Troubleshoot and repair major components such as engines and transmissions.
-Effectively communicate with the team to coordinate maintenance schedules and reduce truck downtime.
-Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and practices
-Identify opportunities to improve and/or update the company’s fleet of trucks and equipment
-Maintain documentation for department operations, maintenance intervals, etc.
-Understand and maintain compliance with applicable regulations such as DOT, OSHA, wage and hour, and environmental laws
-Ensure all PM work is completed in a timely manner per company and manufacturers guidelines.
-Repair AC and heating systems as needed

Qualifications:
-Proven shop performance and mechanical ability
-Diesel engine repair: 1 year (Preferred)
-Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
-Equipment repair: 1 year (Preferred)Medium and heavy commercial/DOT-regulated vehicles experience
-Proven commitment to safety and Company policy
-Ability to handle multiple priorities under demanding circumstances
