Diesel Mechanic Needed – Transportation Industry

A growing transportation company is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered trucks and fleet vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operations. Note: Our mechanical shop is already outfitted with all the diagnostic equipment and tools required.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and transportation equipment
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance
Repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and fuel systems
Maintain accurate service records and follow safety procedures
Manage subcontracting out any major repairs
Qualifications:
Experience as a diesel mechanic (fleet or transportation industry preferred)
Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and heavy-duty truck components
Ability to work independently and meet maintenance deadlines
Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
