Diesel Technician (Mechanic)

Ground Transport, Inc is a locally owned school bus transportation company that has been operating in Hawaii for over 35 years. We are seeking an experienced full-time Diesel Technician for our Maintenance Facility located in Pulehunui Industrial Park – Pu’unene .

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s license or the ability to get one within 90 days of hire (assisted by company).
• Provide own tools.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Ability to perform repairs on Cummins Diesel Engines, Ford Gas Engines.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical & fuel systems.
• Ability to work on air/hydraulic brake systems.
• Ability to perform thorough and accurate Preventative Maintenance Services.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical defects and perform repairs.
• Perform road service-calls and repairs on Company equipment as required.
• Ability to read and understand diagnostic codes and schematics.
• Accurately document repairs and parts on work orders.
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule.
