diesel truck mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of Class 4-8 commercial trucks and diesel-powered vehicles bumper to bumper. The ideal candidate combines a strong mastery of heavy-duty mechanical systems with the ability to navigate modern electronic diagnostic software.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Run advanced diagnostic tests on diesel engines and electrical systems using specialized scanning tools (such as Ford IDS, Cummins Insite, PTT, Allison Doc or similar OEM systems).

Mechanical Repairs: Repair and overhaul critical truck components including diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, steering mechanisms, suspensions, and hydraulics.

Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine service intervals, including oil changes, fluid flushes, wheel alignments, tire rotations, and battery checks.

Tools: Must possess a personal set of standard professional hand tools (specialized shop equipment and heavy diagnostic infrastructure will be provided.

Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of diesel technology, computer diagnostics, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics.

License: A valid Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B is strongly preferred to conduct vehicle test drives and diagnostics.
