About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Dirt Foreman to lead field crews on grading, excavation, and site development projects. This position is responsible for coordinating daily operations, maintaining production schedules, ensuring quality workmanship, and fostering a safe, productive job site.
Key Responsibilities
-Supervise and coordinate daily activities of grading and excavation crews
-Read and interpret plans, grade stakes, and project specifications
-Coordinate equipment, materials, and manpower to keep projects on schedule
-Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
-Communicate with superintendents, project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors
-Complete daily reports, time tracking, and required job documentation
-Train and mentor crew members while promoting a strong safety culture
Qualifications
-5+ years of grading or site development experience
-Previous foreman or crew leadership experience required
-Strong knowledge of earthwork, grading, excavation, and utility installation
-Ability to read construction plans and understand grade stakes
-Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
-Comfortable using mobile apps and digital reporting tools
