Dirt Work Laborer / Helper

We are looking for a reliable, hard-working individual to join our site development crew. This is a hands-on position where you will be operating a water truck, drum roller, plate packer, and grade rod assisting with rough and finish grading, and performing manual labor as needed to keep the job moving.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and maintain a water truck for dust control and aggregate compaction on job sites.
• Safely operate and maintain a drum roller and plate packer for aggregate compaction on job sites.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
• Assist the grading crew by utilizing a grade rod and laser to check elevations.
• Perform various site preparation duties including land clearing, and gravel road installation and repair.
• Be willing to use a shovel, rake, and other hand tools to assist the crew as needed.

Requirements:

• Must have own transportation to and from job sites.
• Proven experience operating a water truck on active construction or dirt work sites.
• Proven experience operating a drum roller and plate packer on active construction or dirt work sites.
• Basic working knowledge of grade rods and laser levels.
• Willingness to perform manual labor and use a shovel in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
