Precious Pets Grooming Salon in Santa Clarita is hiring!

We are looking to add another person to our team and are open to either an experienced dog groomer OR someone who wants to learn how to become a professional dog groomer.

EXPERIENCED GROOMERS

If you already know how to groom, we offer:

• Starting at $20+/hour + tips
• You keep 100% of your own tips — tips are NOT split
• Busy, established salon with consistent clientele
• Bathers provided
• Dryers provided
• Tools, equipment, products, and grooming supplies provided
• Part-time or full-time opportunities
• No need to bring your own clientele

We want our groomers to be able to come in, stay busy, and focus on grooming without having to do everything themselves.

WANT TO BECOME A GROOMER?

No professional grooming experience? We’re willing to train the right person.

This position starts part-time as a dog bather at minimum wage. The bathing position is the starting point for learning the business and developing the skills needed to move into grooming.

You will learn:

• Proper bathing and drying
• Brushing and coat preparation
• Nail trimming and basic grooming services
• Safe dog handling
• Different breeds and coat types
• How a professional grooming salon operates

As you gain experience, show reliability, and develop your skills, we will begin teaching you grooming.

The goal is to train you to become a groomer and transition you from a part-time, minimum-wage bathing position into a full-time grooming position with increased earning potential.

We’re not looking for someone who just wants to bathe dogs temporarily. We’re looking for someone who is serious about learning a trade and becoming a professional dog groomer.

Dog grooming is a physical job. You should be comfortable standing for long periods, bending, lifting dogs, getting wet, dealing with dog hair, and working in a busy environment.
