Dog Walking & Pet Care Business Manager / Operator
Location: Pacifica, CA + surrounding areas
Compensation: Approximately $60,000+ annually (negotiable) + potential revenue share/growth incentives
About the Opportunity
I currently own and operate an established dog walking and pet care business based in Pacifica, California, servicing Pacifica and surrounding areas. Due to taking a year away to pursue an advanced degree, I am looking for the right person to step in and take over the day-to-day operations of the business.
This is not just a “dog walker” position — this is an opportunity for someone dependable, personable, organized, and entrepreneurial to manage and grow an existing book of business with loyal clients and established systems already in place.
The ideal candidate may already operate a small pet care business and be looking to expand, or may be someone interested in eventually building a business of their own and looking for a strong stepping stone and mentorship opportunity.
I am open to a variety of compensation and business structures, including revenue sharing, growth incentives, and client acquisition opportunities.
What the Business Includes

Recurring walking and playtime schedules
Dog transportation/pick-up services
Group play sessions and social walks
Existing systems and processes

Responsibilities
Pick up and transport dogs safely to walks/play sessions
Manage daily dog walking schedules and routes
Supervise dog playgroups and ensure safe interactions
Maintain excellent communication with clients
Handle scheduling updates and last-minute changes
Manage billing and invoicing (QuickBooks experience preferred)
Maintain strong client relationships
Grow the business through referrals and new clients
Ensure reliability, professionalism, and excellent customer service at all times

Has basic business/admin skills
Preferred Experience
Preferred but not required:
Previous dog walking or pet care experience
Experience running a small business
Scheduling software experience
QuickBooks or billing/invoicing experience
Customer service experience
