Driver / Laborer —

About the role: We are hiring a Driver / Laborer to move materials, tools, and equipment between our shop, suppliers, and job sites, and to support the crew on site. This is an entry point into the trades: we'll train the right person in carpentry.

Pay: $25 - $35/hr Based on Experience

Schedule: Monday through Thursday 7:00 am - 5:30 pm
Location: Diamond Head to Hawaii Kai, Windward Side, and North Shore

Responsibilities:

Driving- Pick up and deliver materials, tools, and equipment between suppliers, the HMH Shop, and job sites
Load, secure, and unload materials safely
Check deliveries against orders and report shortages or damage
Keep company vehicles clean and report maintenance issues

Laborer- Set up and clean up job sites daily; haul debris and manage waste
Stage materials and assist carpenters and other trades
Help with demolition, framing support, and general site tasks
Keep the shop organized and tools in working order
Follow all job site safety rules and use required PPE

Requirements:

Valid driver's license
Clean driving record
Own reliable transportation to all job sites
Able to lift and carry heavy materials and work on your feet all day, outdoors and in varied weather
On time, dependable, and willing to take direction
Basic hand tool experience is a plus, not required

We want someone willing to learn carpentry. You'll work alongside experienced carpenters and pick up skills on the job, with a path toward a carpentry role as you progress.
