WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE DO:

Experienced people that really know Drywall Installation and Repair!

We work with major builders so there is steady year-round work. This is a Full-time position with an opportunity for overtime if desired.

We service newly built homes and apartments. Our service people provide repairs to finished and textured walls and ceilings. If you have the ability to fix seams and cracked bead, that is a big plus.

THE PAY:

We offer top pay commensurate with your abilities. We pay our people what they are worth, including service bonuses.

Our regular hours are Mon - Fri, 7:00AM - 3:30PM

SKILLS YOU NEED TO QUALIFY:

  • At least 2 years of PROFESSIONAL painting and drywall experience;
  • Ability to mix components, match colors and utilize brush, rollers and spray gun tools (when required);
  • Ability to professionally patch and repair drywall;
  • Ability to prepare, fill and prime surfaces for painting;
  • Ability to understand, document, and maintain accurate records;
  • Ability to interact with staff and the public in a courteous and professional manner;
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST MEET:
HAVE A GOOD DRIVING RECORD (if you can't drive to the job you can't do the job);
Read, write, and speak English, so you can be clearly understood, and you can understand others;
Be able to read, write and understand work orders and instructions;
MINIMUM of 2 years of PROFESSIONAL drywall experience;

WHAT WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR:

Persons with only shipyard painting experience;
Persons with extensive FELONY criminal records - we do run background checks;
Persons with uneven dispositions - you will be in contact with customers (homeowners, supervisors, superintendents) in the field;
Persons whose only experience is servicing their own living spaces;
Persons who cannot legally drive on Virginia roads;

POSITION AND HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time hourly position with occasional weekend hours if necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands are consistent with those needed to work with drywall, including the ability to carry joint compound buckets and boxes. Must be able to move about in order to point up occupied homes and new construction homes.

The job requires that you regularly sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and balance in both indoor and outdoor environments.
