DRYWALL JOURNEYMAN / FURRING SYSTEMS

We are looking for experienced Drywall Craft Journeymen for commercial and industrial projects.

We need craftsmen who can work independently and have solid experience, drywall installation, and furring systems.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Journeyman-level drywall experience
Furring out walls using Z-channels
Hat channel installation
Drywall hanging and installation (tape, bed, level 4-5 finish)
Reading plans and construction drawings
Measuring, layout, cutting, and fitting
Ability to work from elevations and details
Experience with commercial/industrial construction
Ability to work safely and efficiently as part of a crew
STRONGLY PREFERRED:
Experience with large commercial or industrial projects
Experience with seismic requirements
Experience around mechanical/electrical penetrations
Experience with sound/fire-rated assemblies
Ability to install backing, blocking, and specialty framing
OSHA/safety training is a plus

THIS IS NOT A GENERAL LABORER POSITION.

We are specifically looking for skilled drywall craftsmen who understand Z-channel and hat-channel furring systems and can perform the work correctly with minimal supervision.
