Drywall Repair & Texture Matching Technician

The Patch Boys of Boise is looking for a highly skilled drywall repair technician who takes pride in making repairs disappear.

We specialize in residential drywall repair. Every day is different. You’ll work inside customers’ homes repairing drywall, matching existing textures, and leaving the home cleaner than you found it.

If you’re the person everyone calls because you can perfectly match orange peel, knockdown, hand textures, skip trowel, or other custom finishes, we want to talk with you.

What You’ll Do

• Repair holes, water damage, cracks, and drywall imperfections.
• Perform drywall installation, taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing.
• Match existing wall and ceiling textures with a high degree of accuracy.
• Blend repairs so they are virtually invisible.
• Prime repaired areas and prepare surfaces for paint.
• Protect customers’ homes using canvas drop cloths, plastic containment, and shoe covers.
• Keep a clean and organized work area throughout each project.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners before, during, and after the repair.
• Complete jobs efficiently without sacrificing quality.
• Load, maintain, and care for company materials.

What We’re Looking For

Required

• 5+ years of professional drywall repair and finishing experience.
• Exceptional texture matching skills.
• Ability to identify and reproduce a wide variety of wall and ceiling textures.
• Experience with hand-applied and spray-applied textures.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and safely use ladders.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Vehicle large enough to carry at least a half sheet of drywall.
• Have the basic drywall tools needed to complete repairs.

Preferred

• Residential repair experience.
• Painting experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to complete most repairs independently.
