Seismic Retrofitting is the process of making homes SAFER in the event of an earthquake. We install plywood shear panels, bolt houses to their foundations, and use other methods to make homes more STRUCTURALLY SOUND.

Seismic Retrofitting is exacting and technical work, but is also relatively quick to learn and become proficient at. We offer on-the-job training. No experience in retrofitting is required, although you should be comfortable with construction and power carpentry tools. Experience in the framing, concrete, roofing, or siding (or similar trades where production efficiency and quality work are equally important) will help shorten your learning curve for retrofitting.

The ideal candidate:

Is reliable and dependable.

Has experience in roofing, concrete, framing, siding, decking, painting, landscaping, OR SIMILAR TRADES.
Is well organized and plans ahead.
Has a clean and presentable appearance.
Communicates well, verbally and in writing, with peers, clients, trade contractors, suppliers, and supervisors.
Takes pride in a job well done.
Understands and appreciates the importance of running projects efficiently.
Focuses on solutions rather than problems: sees opportunities rather than obstacles.
Sees the value in paid holidays and vacations, 401K retirement plan, and excellent health/dental/vision insurance (50% covered by company).
Has a safe driving record and a valid WA drivers license. We check.
Lives locally, and has reliable transportation

Does not mind hard work in a challenging, noisy, sometimes dirty, environment.
