Electrical Service Manager
Electrical Service Manager
Description
ELECTRICAL SERVICE MANAGER
Denver, Colorado | Lightning Mobile Electric
Ready to lead instead of just being another number?
Lightning Mobile Electric is a growing commercial electrical contractor based in Denver, Colorado, and we are looking for an experienced Electrical Service Manager to take ownership of our service department.
This is not a desk-only management position, and it is not a glorified dispatcher role.
We are looking for someone who knows the electrical trade, understands service work, can lead electricians, communicates well with customers, and takes ownership of getting jobs across the finish line.
If you are currently a strong Service Electrician, Foreman, Service Manager, or Electrical Project Manager who is ready for more responsibility and an opportunity to help lead and grow a department, we want to talk to you.
WHY LIGHTNING MOBILE ELECTRIC?
We aren't looking for someone to simply maintain the status quo.
We want someone who can help us build a better service department.
At Lightning Mobile Electric, you'll have the opportunity to:
Take ownership of an established electrical service operation
Lead and develop a team of service electricians and technicians
Work directly with company ownership and management
Make real decisions instead of fighting through layers of corporate management
Help improve processes, efficiency, profitability, and customer service
Work on a wide variety of commercial electrical projects
Help shape the future growth of the department and the company
Build a career with a company where strong performance is recognized
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
The Electrical Service Manager will oversee the day-to-day performance of our electrical service department, including:
Managing and supporting service electricians and technicians
Reviewing incoming service calls and determining the best course of action
Scheduling and coordinating manpower
Troubleshooting electrical issues with technicians in the field
Reviewing job scope, labor, materials, and job requirements
Ensuring technicians arrive prepared and jobs are completed correctly
Communicating professionally with customers
Reviewing estimates, proposals, and change orders
Monitoring job costs, productivity, and profitability
Ensuring documentation, photos, notes, and closeout information are completed
Helping recruit, train, mentor, and develop technicians
Holding employees accountable while creating a team people want to be part of
Identifying problems before they become expensive problems
Taking ownership of the department from the initial service request through final completion and billing
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Our ideal candidate understands that running a successful electrical service department requires more than knowing the NEC.
You need to understand people, customers, scheduling, troubleshooting, urgency, costs, and accountability.
We are looking for someone who:
Has strong commercial electrical experience
Has previous leadership, foreman, project management, or service management experience
Has excellent electrical troubleshooting skills
Understands labor and material costs
Can manage multiple active jobs and priorities
Communicates clearly with electricians, customers, vendors, and management
Is comfortable making decisions and solving problems
Holds themselves and their team accountable
Is organized and detail-oriented
Understands that customer service matters
Takes pride in doing things correctly the first time
Doesn't need to be constantly reminded or managed
Colorado electrical licensing is strongly preferred.
THIS POSITION IS PROBABLY NOT FOR YOU IF...
You want to sit behind a desk all day and simply forward emails.
You avoid difficult conversations.
You wait for someone else to solve problems.
You believe managing electricians means only telling people where to go each morning.
We need someone who is willing to own the outcome.
THIS POSITION MAY BE PERFECT FOR YOU IF...
You're an experienced electrician or electrical manager who knows you are capable of more.
You enjoy solving difficult problems.
You like helping technicians become better at their jobs.
You understand the difference between being busy and being profitable.
You want your ideas to actually be heard.
And most importantly, you want to help build something.
