POSITION SUMMARY

Enviro-Equipment, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Electrical Tradesman / Electrician's Helper to join our custom environmental remediation system build team.
This is not a traditional residential or commercial electrical position. Our team builds custom environmental remediation systems and equipment from the ground up. These systems incorporate electrical controls, motors, pumps, blowers, instrumentation, piping, conduit, and a variety of mechanical components.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on tradesperson with electrical experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read schematics, solve problems, and complete assigned work with limited supervision.
We can teach you our remediation systems. You need to bring the electrical foundation, mechanical ability, dependability, and willingness to learn.

TOP RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Electrical System Assembly and Wiring
Install and wire electrical components used in custom environmental remediation systems. Bend and install conduit, size and pull wiring, route and terminate conductors, and wire motors, pumps, blowers, controls, instrumentation, and related equipment.
2. Read Schematics and Execute System Builds
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system drawings to accurately lay out and complete assigned work. Plan conduit and wiring installations and ensure work is completed neatly, accurately, and in accordance with system requirements.
3. Troubleshooting and Multi-Trade System Support
Assist with system testing, startup, and troubleshooting. Support the fabrication and assembly of remediation equipment, including mechanical assembly, piping, plumbing, fabrication, and basic carpentry tasks as needed.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS

  • Ability to accurately bend, lay out, and install electrical conduit
  • Knowledge of electrical wire sizing and wiring practices
  • Ability to correctly pull, route, identify, and terminate wiring
  • Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with electrical hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of how equipment components work together
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks accurately and within a reasonable timeframe
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision after training
  • Dependable, punctual, and accountable for assigned work.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Additional experience in any of the following areas is considered a plus:
  • Plumbing and piping

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE – FIRST 90 DAYS

  • Consistently report to work on time and ready to perform assigned duties

  • Properly identify wiring requirements and install the correct wiring
  • Read and follow electrical schematics and system drawings
  • Complete routine electrical build tasks with limited supervision
  • Demonstrate continued improvement in speed, accuracy, and productivity
  • Identify potential problems and communicate them before they create unnecessary rework
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and follow them through to completion
  • Work effectively with system builders, technicians, and other trades
  • Demonstrate quality workmanship and pride in the finished equipment

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND TRAVEL

This position is primarily shop-based, working directly on custom remediation system fabrication and assembly.
