Description
Responsibilities
-Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems
-Work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision
-Read and understand electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and panel schedules
-Install conduit, wire, electrical panels, transformers, lighting, devices, and related equipment
-Diagnose electrical problems and develop practical solutions
-Perform layout, rough-in, trim-out, and equipment connections
-Verify completed work for proper operation and code compliance
-Accurately communicate material needs and job progress
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
-Work professionally around customers, general contractors, and other trades
-Follow NEC requirements and company safety procedures
Requirements
-Proven commercial electrical experience is required
-Ability to work independently and manage assigned work
-Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
-Ability to read and work from commercial electrical blueprints
-Knowledge of commercial wiring methods and the National Electrical Code
-Experience bending and installing EMT and other raceway systems
-Ability to use electrical testing equipment safely and correctly
-Valid driver’s license with a clean and insurable driving record
-Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
-Must have basic hand tools required for the electrical trade
-Ability to lift materials, climb ladders, and work in attics, outdoors, and other construction environments
-Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to communicate professionally
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience running small commercial projects or crews
-Experience with service work and electrical troubleshooting
-Experience with underground electrical, service equipment, lighting controls, data, and fire-alarm-related installations
-OSHA safety training
-Florida journeyman certification or equivalent field experience
Job Details
-Full-time position
-Work primarily in St. Augustine, St. Johns County, Jacksonville, and surrounding areas
-Compensation based on commercial experience, qualifications, and ability to work independently
-Opportunities for additional responsibility and advancement based on performance
-Company vehicle may be provided to a qualified candidate based on experience and job responsibilities. Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record acceptable to the company’s commercial auto insurance carrier.
-Valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record are required for positions involving operation of a company vehicle. ---Employment and vehicle privileges may be contingent upon verification of driving history and approval by the company’s insurance carrier.
