Principal Accountabilities
- Assist in design of electrical projects and install electrical equipment
- Coordine efforts with other workers involved in installing and maintaining equipment or components
- Consult with operors, supervisors, and engineers to plan layout of equipment and to resolve problems in system operion and maintenance
- Determine feasibility of using standardized equipment and develop specificions for equipment required to perform additional functions
- Work with voltage levels up to 480, 4160. Wire Variable Frequency Drive’s
- Study blueprints, schemics, manuals, and other specificions to determine installion procedures
- Perform instrumention calculion, set up of parameters and limits
- Modify industrial electronic devices, circuits, and equipment in order to meet available specificions
- Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure th it functions properly
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, and repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems before they occur
- Inspect components of industrial equipment for accure assembly and installion and for defects such as loose connections and frayed wires
- Advise management on whether continued operion of equipment could be hazardous
- Maintain equipment logs th record performance problems, repairs, calibrions, and tests
- Examine work orders and converse with equipment operors to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problems
- Opere equipment to demonstre proper use and to analyze malfunctions
- Repair, install and adjust equipment, machines, and defective components, replacing worn parts such as gaskets and seals in wertight electrical equipment
- Install coaxial or fiber optic cable for computers and other telecommunicions equipment
- Maintain inventory of spare parts.
- Send defective units to the manufacturer or to a specialized repair shop for repair
- When breakdowns occur, make necessary repairs as quickly as possible in order to minimize inconvenience
- Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment and software, and applying knowledge of the functional operion of electronic units and systems
- Work extended shifts to support the facility which may require coming in early, before normal shift and staying over ler than normal shift
- Short notice may be given when coming in early or staying over le. May be called in to make repairs on nights, weekends or holidays
- Be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
- Must follow the Nional Electric Code; comply with ste and Cargill standards
- Assist plant with management of outside contracted electrical projects for quality to comply with Cargill specificions
- Participes in ongoing skill level improvement training and apply wh is learned
- Performs all requested tasks professionally and in a reasonable time frame
- Is flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
- Work indoors and outdoors in a plant environment
- Enter confined spaces under proper permit conditions and supervision
- Troubleshoot problems as required
- Maintain a safe and sanitary mosphere
- Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment utilized by facility; determine immedie and long range needs for maintenance and repair work
- Enter notificions utilizing maintenance computer program
- Understand and adhere to ste and federal Occupional Safety and Health rules and regulions as reled
