Certified Residential Electrician – East Bay (Alameda County)
Family-owned East Bay electrical contractor is seeking a California DIR-certified Residential or General Electrician to join our team.
We're looking for an experienced residential electrician who can work independently within established job parameters, takes pride in quality workmanship, and values professionalism and teamwork.

*Exceptional Electrical Trainees (with active ET card) may be considered with strong residential experience.
Typical Work Includes
- Panel upgrades and service changes (approximately 40%)
- Residential rewiring (approximately 30%)
- Level 2 EV charger installations (approximately 10%)
- Troubleshooting and diagnostics (approximately 10%)
- Small residential repairs and service calls (approximately 10%)
- Current California DIR Residential Electrician Certification or General Electrician Certification (General preferred)
- Minimum 3–5 years of residential experience preferred; demonstrated competency is more important than years alone
- Able to independently complete standard residential panel replacements within defined scope
- Experience with residential panels, rewiring, and Level 2 EV charger installations
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must provide standard electrical hand tools
- Able to work in attics, crawl spaces, on ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Follows company instructions and established methods
- Communicates professionally and respectfully
- Can identify out-of-scope issues and discuss recommendations with the C-10 contractor before proceeding
- Comfortable working in occupied homes
- Reliable, safety-minded, and customer-focused
- Full-time W-2 position
- Monday–Friday, typically 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Weekly hours generally range from 25–40 hours (average approximately 35 hours)
- Occasional Saturdays and overtime, as needed and mutually agreed upon
- Pay: $30–$40 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated competency
- Eight paid holidays annually
- 40 hours paid sick leave each year
- Unused sick leave rolls over to PTO the following year
- SIMPLE IRA eligibility after 2 years of employment
- Up to $2,000 per year in approved work-related tuition or continuing education reimbursement
