Description
Job Title: Journeyman Residential & Commercial Service Technician
Compensation: $30 - $40 per hour, DOE
Job Description: Drive a service van from customer to customer performing various electrical installations, troubleshooting, repairs, rewiring, and replacements of electrical components in primarily residential settings, some commercial, no industrial.
Qualified applicants will:
Have a minimum of 10 years of verifiable experience as an electrician with proof of at least one year of experience running a service van in similar operations or 4 years of service.
Must live within 20 minutes of downtown Sugar Land
Must be able to handle a 16' ladder from van roof to inside homes without requiring assistance.
Have current Texas Journeyman license or test within 30 days for Texas license
Have a working knowledge of the NEC
Be well versed in residential electrical service
Have all the tools needed to be an efficient service electrician, including but not limited to a volt meter, tone generator, circuit tracer, and stud finder.
Be skilled in bending and installing electrical conduit
Be skilled in troubleshooting both single and three phase systems
Be able to communicate clearly with clients in the English language
Have current Texas driver license or obtain one within 30 days
Have a clean driving record
Pass a pre-employment drug screen
Pass a criminal background check (no felonies)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year = $30 - $40 per hour base pay plus commissions
