Entry Level Mechanic

We are currently seeking an Entry level and Mid Level mechanic to assist in Diesel Truck/Trailer and Forklift Maintenance.

This position will become responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining semi trucks and trailers to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and DOT-ready. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical knowledge and experience working with heavy-duty vehicles.

This is a hands-on role that requires working with various tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair systems to keep equipment operating at peak performance.

Responsibilities

Maintain Equipment files
Perform routine maintenance and preventative service on semi trucks, trailers and forklifts
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
Repair or replace truck and trailer components as needed
Use hand tools and power tools
Complete equipment repairs
Communicate with drivers or management regarding repair status and recommended maintenance
Safely operate shop equipment such as forklifts, trucks and trailers
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Requirements

Some verifiable experience working on equipment and/or schooling in diesel mechanic school
Strong mechanical skills
Ability to lift heavy parts and perform physically demanding work
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
On time for work each day (Day shift M-F)

Preferred Qualifications:

Class A or B CDL
Experience working on semi trucks, commercial trailers and forklifts
Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs
Familiarity with heavy-duty truck systems and components
Nice to have: Experience with welding, fabrication, or basic electrical repairs
