**Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Sunnyvale–Mountain View is looking for a motivated, dependable, and hardworking Entry-Level Plumbing Technician to join our growing team.

This position is ideal for someone who has some hands-on experience and wants to turn those skills into a long-term career in plumbing. You don't need to be a licensed plumber or fully trained technician. We will provide hands-on training and work alongside you as you develop the technical skills needed to become a professional service technician.

Experience in plumbing, construction, maintenance, HVAC, automotive, facilities, landscaping, or other skilled trades is a plus.

You'll work directly alongside experienced plumbing professionals and gain real-world experience with residential and light commercial plumbing, drain and sewer work, water heaters, repairs, installations, diagnostics, and more.

The ideal candidate:

• Has some experience working with tools, equipment, construction, maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, automotive, or another hands-on trade
• Has a genuine interest in developing a career in plumbing
• Is dependable, punctual and takes pride in their work
• Is comfortable working with their hands and performing physical work
• Has mechanical aptitude and enjoys learning how things work
• Can follow written and verbal instructions
• Is willing to learn from experienced technicians
• Takes direction well and asks questions when needed
• Communicates professionally with customers and coworkers
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Takes pride in keeping job sites, tools, equipment and vehicles clean and organized
• Follows safety procedures and company standards
• Maintains a clean and professional appearance
• Has a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Is motivated to develop into a professional service technician

*Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, but not required.

>Your Responsibilities

As you develop your skills, you will assist experienced technicians with:

• Plumbing repairs and installations
• Drain cleaning and sewer work
• Sewer camera inspections
• Water heater installation and service
• Plumbing diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Water and gas line repairs
• Clean-out installations
• Preparing tools, equipment and materials for jobs
• Safely operating professional plumbing tools and equipment
• Underground and excavation work when required
• Maintaining clean and organized job sites
• Maintaining company tools, equipment and vehicles
• Communicating professionally with customers
• Following plumbing, safety and company procedures

As your knowledge and skills grow, you'll gradually take on more responsibility and begin performing service work with greater independence.

If you've worked in construction, maintenance, HVAC, automotive, facilities, landscaping, remodeling, or another hands-on field, the skills you've already developed can be a great foundation for a career in plumbing.
