Equipment and Vehicle Repair Technician $25/hr

As an Equipment and Vehicle Repair Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet and equipment, directly supporting the success of our field teams and the satisfaction of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain trucks, trailers, and specialized landscaping equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, such as oil changes and engine tuning, to minimize downtime.
• Oversee and manage the inventory of parts and tools in the Evanston shop.
• Inspect equipment to ensure all vehicles and tools meet safety and operational standards before deployment.
• Communicate repair status, timelines, and costs clearly with team members and management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a lead mechanic or related technician role.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds.
• Knowledge of high-speed machinery and various unit measurements.
• Familiarity with diesel, gas/EFI, small engines, brakes, hydraulics, computer diagnostics, electrical wiring, and welding is a plus.

Compensation

Starting at $25/hour, commensurate with experience and technical skills.
