Equipment Operator

Experienced Equipment Operator – Santa Cruz County

Crestline Construction is looking for an experienced small/heavy equipment operator to join our crew in the Santa Cruz, California area. Our work is primarily throughout Santa Cruz County.

We are looking for someone who is highly experienced operating:

• Skid steers and compact track loaders
• Mini and compact excavators up to approximately 12 tons
• Hydraulic augers and drilling equipment

Required Experience:

• Demolition and site preparation
• Grading and excavation
• Following construction layouts, elevations, and grades
• Working safely and efficiently on tight and sloped job sites
• Drilling piers/footings is a major part of this position
• Experience drilling piers ranging from approximately 4 feet to 15 feet deep
• Ability to accurately locate, drill, and maintain proper alignment of pier holes
• Comfortable working around existing structures, utilities, retaining walls, and other site constraints

Our projects include retaining walls, foundations, concrete work, drainage, excavation, grading, and structural site work. Much of our work is in the Santa Cruz Mountains, so experience operating equipment on hillsides, slopes, and confined-access sites is highly preferred.

We are looking for someone who can get on a machine and work independently without needing to be trained on basic equipment operation.
