Espresso Machine Technician

We are a small, established, Tigard-based wholesale coffee distributor specializing in fine Italian coffees and related products. We are in search of a new technician to provide support for our café and restaurant customers. We provide installation, maintenance, and repair services for commercial coffee and espresso equipment, including coffee grinders, brewers, and water filtration systems.

Position Overview

In this role the technician will diagnose, maintain, and repair coffee equipment both onsite at customer locations and in our warehouse shop. They will also have warehouse responsibilities like receiving shipments. Our ideal candidate is mechanically inclined with previous experience in the coffee world (as a barista, roaster etc.)

Previous experience in restaurants or hospitality, or appliance and HVAC repair would also be useful. An appreciation for coffee is necessary! A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and High school diploma/ GED is required.

Location

The business office and warehouse is located in Tigard/ Portland and there is local travel to customer locations in company vehicles. There is occasional travel to customers on the Oregon coast and Eugene, but no overnight travel is required.

Key Responsibilities

· Installation, maintenance, and repair of espresso machines, coffee brewers, and grinders

· Installing water filtration systems

· Troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical issues

· Performing routine preventative maintenance

· Maintaining service logs, tracking parts usage, and basic documentation

· Communicating professionally with customers during service visits

· Keeping tools, workspace, and service vehicles organized

· Warehouse duties

· Backing up delivery driver (as needed)

· Ability to lift ~50 lbs and work on-site at customer locations

Compensation and Benefits

· Hourly pay ($21-25 per hour based on experience)

Schedule

This position is 35-40 hours per week between the hours of 9:00 to 5:00 Monday-Friday.
