Estimator

Commercial Tile & Stone Installation Company: Our company is expanding and is seeking an experienced Estimator to join the office located in West San Fernando Valley. Primary responsibilities includes:

• Perform take-off from construction drawings/plans.
• Able to independently draft estimates
• Properly read and interpret construction drawings for bids.
• Prepare detailed estimates & accurate bid proposals for commercial projects.
• Properly interpret project requirements, specifications and addendum.
• Work with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing with close follow-up.
• Develop all labor and material costs to fully complete a project estimates.
• Submit all bids and budgets by the bid deadline.
• Prepare and track submittals. Review RFP/RFQ specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Prepare and update schedule/logs.
• Manages and follow-up change orders.
• Develop and maintain working files for estimating, including information of prices from suppliers, price lists, etc.

Qualifications:

• Commercial experience is a MUST.
• Must be proficient with Digital take-offs like PlanSwift.
• Tile Installation knowledge is a plus.
• Familiar with reading and measuring of construction drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
• Highly organized.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
